Alesha Dixon told me after the Brit Awards that she’s preparing to start work on a brand new album with Take That star Gary Barlow. I wonder if all this music work will eventually lead to her ditching her role on Strictly. She revealed: I’ve been speaking to Gary Barlow a lot, he’s become a good friend. We’re going to be working again together on my next album, which I’m already busy working on.”
Leesh also explained why the Take That boys failed to show for the Brits to support former band mate Robbie Williams. “They really wanted to be at the Brits this year, especially as Robbie won outstanding achievement,” she revealed. “But they couldn’t make it as they are in Los Angeles recording a new album, which should be out later this year. I spoke to Gary and he was gutted he couldn’t be at the awards.”

James Corden (who’s a truly lovely guy, people) was a guest of Play.com for Take That’s Cardiff gig earlier this week. And from what I hear the big guy loved every minute. My source reveals: “He was ecstatic to be asked to go and even met the lads afterwards. He was made up to meet the band – he’s always been a secret fan.”

James also took along his gorgeous co-star Joanna Page. I can’t wait to catch Take That’s show next month! Bring it!

James Morrison supports Take That – but he’s not a fan….

Gary Barlow, cover your ears! James Morrison supported super group Take That last week on the opening night of their Circus tour but tells me he’s far from a fan of the band.

James let slip at the Capital FM Summertime Ball: “It was a great gig but I’m not a Take That kind of guy – but they were amazing! I didn’t go out with them for a beer afterwards and I saw them before they did the show, a little bit backstage and just had a quick chat with them. It looks amazing and fair play to them – especially with the dance routines and getting on unicycles!”
But would Mr Morrison want a big spectacle of a tour like the boyband. He replied: “I guess as you get bigger, you probably do want to up your game with props and stuff but I prefer to make it all about the delivery of the vocal and the song.” Saucer of milk for one!

Take That’s Greatest Day video to premiere on AOL!

Get ready Take That fans – it’s almost time for you to get a glimpse of the video for the band’s latest single Greatest Day. The full video will be shown exclusively on AOL from October 22, ahead of the single being released on November 24th 2008.

The vid was filmed on top of a 60 storey building in the downtown area of Los Angeles and directed by Meiert Avis (who has previously shot videos for U2, Damian Rice, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan).

I caught the foursome arriving in LA earlier this month when they were on the same Virgin flight as me – and now I know what they were there for! They were also mastering the new album over there at the Jim Henson recording studios.
