*Daisy Lowe is helping out her pal Mischa Barton. The former OC star is apparently staying with charming model Daisy for three weeks at her London pad while she finds herself a flat in town to set up home. Welcome to Blighty, Misch!

*Kate Middleton enjoyed a glass of vino with a girlfriend at London’s Bluebird bar this week during the Serena Williams tennis match. She’s a real stunner.

*TV make-up guru Gary Cockerill and presenter Phil Turner are getting married again. The pair, who only wed in December 2005, will have pal Katie Price walking Gazza down the aisle at the Midsummer Night’s Dream ceremony being filmed for Living TV series Four Weddings.

*This weekend’s Barclaycard Wireless Festival in Hyde Park is all set to be star-studded. I hear Colin Farrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal will be there!

*I popped by the closing party of London’s coolest pop-up nightclub – The Double Club in Angel last week. Bryan Ferry performed a blistering set of his hits, while outside in the smoking area Jon Bon Jovi puffed away alongside Trinny Woodall, and designer Giles Deacon mingled with pals.

Katie Price is to launch her own charity… in a bid to improve her image.

The glamour model will announce plans for the grandly-titled Katie Price Foundation as she moves to distance herself from her wild alter ego Jordan.

She has been shocked by the negative publicity generated in the wake of her acrimonious split from husband Peter Andre. And she wants to be seen to turn her back on the sort of ladette behaviour that marked her recent Ibiza holiday.

Sources close to Katie say she has felt flattened emotionally by being made the “baddie” in her split with Peter.

People turned on her after she left their brood – Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and Princess Tiiaami, two – with Peter to go clubbing for a few days in Ibiza two weeks ago.

Her foundation will focus on helping sick and disabled children to enjoy a better quality of life.

Katie, 31, has personal experience of bringing up a severely disabled child because Harvey was born part-blind and has had health and learning difficulties since birth.
A source close to the model said: “Harvey’s condition has caused her years of pain and she understands the struggle parents go through with a disabled child. She wants to help other parents like her who are less fortunate.”

Yesterday she arrived by helicopter in a skin-tight leopard-print minidress and high heels to open the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy in Epping, Essex.

It is likely to be her last official charity fundraiser before starting her own. But all the organisations she currently works with are expected to benefit from donations via the Katie Price Foundation.

As a teen I grew up adoring every minute of The Big Breakfast, and part of the enjoyment was the chemistry and fun-loving nature of the two presenters, Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen.

Hell, they even did a Saturday night telly show together and recorded a near chart-topping cover of Especially For You for Children in Need.

Well, I was saddened to hear this week that the pair have fallen out – there’s no working relationship, no friendship and no contact.

It turns out they haven’t spoken since Denise upped and left her role as Johnny’s sidekick on Capital FM’s breakfast show last August. Even after Den wed Joseph star Lee Mead there was zilch contact and no message of congratulations from La Vaughan.

My mole in the know reveals: “Johnny seemed to resent the fact she was brought in to help him out on his Capital show and Denise was far from comfortable being there.

“His listener ratings were dwindling at the time so the radio station wanted a sidekick to attract new listeners, and Denise was perfect. But Johnny had a problem with it from the start. He didn’t seem to like working with Denise again and she was baffled by how much he’d changed from their glory days.

“Staff at Capital said he would barely acknowledge her. She says he would even put his hand up in front of her face as a signal to get her to stop talking. She tried to resolve things early on but he was having none of it.”

Having just met her future hubby Lee Mead (and struggling to cope with the early starts and her other work on Any Dream Will Do), Denise quickly realised she wasn’t enjoying her time with Johnny and so cut her losses and left after five months.

My mole tells me Denise texted him when she’d left but he didn’t bother replying.

The source says: “Denise still can’t believe Johnny’s cut off all contact. She knows she was wrong to go back to Capital because she had too much on her plate and wanted to put her relationship first.”

Thankfully Johnny has since found new on-air chemistry with Lisa Snowdon and ratings have shot through the roof at Capital FM.

Now I want to be the person to put out an olive branch to the warring pair. Call each other by 6pm tonight, guys, and be happy once more. Life’s too short – and in your glory days you were the best TV partnership. Do it for Jacko – after all he did say: “I’m a lover, not a fighter.”

Spice Girl Melanie C seems to have taken to motherhood like a duck to water since having baby Scarlet. But don’t expect new solo music next year to be influenced by babies and heightened emotions. She told me at last week’s Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park (where we both watched Bruce Springsteen): “I’m a rock girl at heart and it’s not going to be an album full of ballads. It’ll be big rock numbers. I’m starting to write soon.”
But Melanie’s clearly taking it easy getting back into the industry. She reveals: “Becoming a mother is far more powerful than I ever realised it would be. I was never broody like the other Spices. Scarlet’s really enhanced my life but it’s been tricky at times. I wouldn’t want to be rushing to get back to work. So I’m taking lots of time off. It’s been four months and this is my first night out!” And Mel was exceedingly well behaved, peeps!

I had a blast catching up and watching new girl band Girls Can’t Catch performing in the Orange Chill and Charge tent at Glastonbury.

The ladies are the newest girl group to come from British record label Fascination and they were actually pretty awesome. And thankfully they can cut it live too! The girls are Daizy, Phoebe and Jess. You might actually recognise Phoebe from 2007’s X Factor – she was the lead singer of Hope.

Their debut single Keep Your Head Up, written by Chris Braide, is scheduled for release July 2009 and Shaznay Lewis has written Turn Me Up for them too.

They are fresh from supporting Girls Aloud on tour and their label mates include Girls Aloud, The Saturdays and The Jonas Brothers.
