Jordan and Peter Andre have just announced they are splitting!

The official statement released by their reps reads:

Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating after 4 and a half years of marriage, Can Associates Limited can confirm today.

Dannii Minogue was thought to have been returning to the UK from Australia any day now to prepare for when X Factor starts filming on June 8th. But it seems there’s been a slight change of plan….

Despite having her X factor contract on the table from execs at the show…..she’s yet to sign it. She’s just not sure she wants to put up the rumour mill etc this time around. A source tells me: “Dannii had a tough ride last year. Cheryl Cole was brought in – which was a real kick in the teeth. She became the token ‘baddie’ of the show in the media despite there not being a problem behind the scenes. Dannii loves Cheryl but hates the fact she was made out to be the baddie by Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell. It felt like it was the world against Dannii last season – and Louis was particularly nasty throughout the series to Dannii.

“She doesn’t want that to happen again – and won’t put up with it. This time around she has a boyfriend too (Kris Smith) that she’s blissfully happy with and she’s not sure she wants to commit to so much work. It will mean she has far less time to spend with him.”

I really hope Dannii bites the bullet and comes back to the show – she’s a huge part of the singer’s development behind the scenes and knows miles more than Cheryl does about the industry from her 20 years experience as a star.

Sign it, Dannii! The show needs you, in my opinion!

Dannii told reporters on the red carpet at the Aussie LOGIE Awards that she was “still deciding” whether to sign up for the show. She said: “I need a holiday, then I’ll decide.”

So last night was exceedingly fun! I went down to Koi for dinner in the luxuruious Planet Hollywood hotel. They have done so well getting that restaurant into the complex – it truly is an amazing place to eat!

After dins I went with friends to Tao at The Venetian for a monster of a party. Rapper Jay-Z – who my sources said was paid $250,000 to ’swing by’ for the evening – had the top table with pals including P Diddy and Russell Brand. Spice Girl Mel B sat on another table with hubby Stephen Belafonte too! It was truly spectacular!

But my time in Vegas has come to an end – I’m on route to LAX now to catch my connecting flight to London.

Just to let you all know I’m in Hollywood right now grabbing a break and catching up with friends. So sorry if you are not getting enough juice…..

I’ve now left Closer magazine and it still feels like I’m on holiday. But I’m not. I’ll be starting my brand new column over at the UK’s Sunday Mirror the week of May 12.

My leaving bash at Raffles nightclub on the Kings Road in Chelsea turned into quite a fun affair with Jude Cisse, Liz McClarnon and Prince Harry’s ex girlfriend Chelsy Davy dropping by. Chelsy was hanging out with us in the VIP area – but don’t believe all the reports that she’s besotted with a new man. She may be dating but she’s far from leaping into a big new relationship. She’s also an exceedingly nice girl. Thanks to Raffles’ legendary party Queen Alice Wilson for making my leaving party truly spectacular!

So far on this trip I’ve spotted a few stars. Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham joined a table of eight girls for dinner the other evening at Chateau Marmont. Jason definitely looked like he was setting up Guy with his pals after his recent split from Madonna – he left solo though. So Guy didn’t get lucky…..

Kelly Brook was on my Virgin Atlantic flight over (I was in the fantastic Premium Economy section whilst Kelly perched in Upper, obviously). She looks so different without her hair piece, heavy make-up and killer fifties style dress. Yes, she’s still pretty but you wouldn’t look at her like she was the men’s magazine dream. She’s just above average without the obligatory two-hour grooming regime that celebs have nowadays.

The Sugababes are out here for the next eight weeks recording there brand new album – it’s going to be their biggest yet. We’re off for dinner with Miss Heidi Range tonight – and her charming sister Hayley – at my favourite LA restuarant Katana. Another star recording out here is Alexandra Burke - she’s nearing the end of her allocated recording time for her new album. Apparently the debut album is shaping up very well indee…..can’t wait for that!

I’m excited to let you know that X Factor’s choereographer supremo Brian Friedman will be returning for this year’s series of the X Factor. He told me over lunch at the Urth Cafe that he’s over the moon to be going back to the show.

Tomorrow we’re off to Las Vegas for a weekend of fun and frolics in the heat. Ricky Hatton’s fighting on Saturday night so I’ll be hanging out with the Brits that make the trip and catching my pal Mel B’s Peepshow at the luxurious Planet Hollywood hotel. Will report back on the show soon!

Miley Cyrus knows how to make an impact! The star caused mayhem when she stepped out on the carpet for the premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie wearing a rather skimpy £2,400 Herve Leger dress. Miley’s dress is well out of a Hannah Montana fans price range!

Miley’s Disney pal Demi Lovato was also there to walk the red carpet and posed in an equally short skirt for the photographers. Demi’s 16 too and is fast becoming as big a franchise as what Hannah Montana is for the channel.

Demi, wearing a dress by US label Foley and Corinna, is in town to promote her brand new series for Disney Channel called Sonny with a Chance which premieres on the channel tonight at 5.10pm. She is also celebrating the launch of her debut album Don’t Forget.

Best of luck to Miley (who I can’t help but think’s on the road to Lindsay Lohan ville) and Demi with their ventures!

Russell Crowe kept reporters and fans waiting for ages before the red carpet began for the premiere of State of Play this week – thank God Helen Mirren’s amazing Donna Karan dress diverted people’s attention is all I can say! She looked totally smashing.

Russell made extremely light work of the red carpet in the end. The newly slimmed down star who plays Cal McAffrey in the film – a veteran reporter – was asked how it felt to fill the shoes of a journalist. He replied: “Very squishy and quite smelly!” Charming!

He was also asked how he felt about Cate Blanchett replacing Sienna Miller in the role of Maid Marian in his next film project, Robin Hood. He replied: “Well I appreciate Cate, but Sienna would have been wonderful in the role too!”

Reporters on the carpet also caught up with some of his Merry Men co-stars and they denied Russ being a hellraiser on set saying he was “the quiet one” of them all! Good to know!

Is there anything that Cheryl Cole can do right nowadays? Erm, it doesn’t seem so. The Girls Aloud star has come out top in the annual FHM 100 Sexiest List. It’s no real surprise I guess. What is a surprise is the remainder of the ladies in the top 10.

Britney Spears came in at Number 4…..have the guys voting seen the train wreck over the last few years? I guess they like it dirty!

Anna Friel was another surprise re-entry into the top 10. The success of Pushing Daisies must have helped her on. Either that or people are still remembering that infamous lesbian kiss in Brookside! Here’s the top 10 for you to see – get the mag from newstands for the full 100!

Sienna Miller makes me laugh – the actress was in the Groucho Club in Soho last week and smuggled a big jar of caviar in for her and her buddies to nibble on! My mole reveals: “Sienna had been to an event earlier and swiped a huge tub of pricey caviar and persuaded the club to let her tuck in. She got a spoon and was feeding everyone and anyone that fancied a mouthful.” Fish breath or what!

Sad news for glamour girl turned lingerie designer Caprice Bourret. She’s split with her long time lover John Hitchcox and moved out of their shared pad in Notting Hill. A source told me: “She’s gutted and thought it would end up being a lifelong relationship. She was even hoping to have kids and marriage.” Keep your chin up, girl

Singer James Blunt’s got a hot new girlfriend after splitting with artist and model Natasha Archdale. A pal says: “She’s a beautiful girl and they met recently in Ibiza where James has a house.” Good for him.

I hear Sadie Frost is doing well nowadays thanks to quitting the grog for the time being. Works her main priority right now. My sources tell me she’s agreed to take the brilliant Zoe Lewis written play Touched for the Very First Time (about a girl growing up with the music of Madonna) to Manchester for a limited run in a theatre up there. There’s just no stopping Sadie now. It’s great she’s stopped the late nights out and is focused on her acting right now!
