Every year just about now it starst to become that time of year when Rose wine (or Roz as it’s affectionately known) becomes popular! Dannii Minogue speaks out….telling me: “I’m shocked Sharon is leaving the show and I know her fans will miss her.”

Whether Dan will miss her is another thing!

It was only this week that Dannii Minogue told me at the Glamour Awards that she was “prepared to put the bad blood behind her” over the bitching that went on during last season’s X-factor. Well Dannii – you don’t have to worry anymore! Because Sharon Osbourne has quit!

A statement through about half an hour ago reads: “Sharon Osbourne announced today that after four fantastic and successful series of The X Factor she has decided to leave the show.

“Sharon would like to thank the wonderful British public for their enormous support during what’s been an exciting ride. She would also like to take this opportunity to thank Simon Cowell and ITV while wishing them all the best for the next series.

“Sharon will be making no further comment.”

So there you have it…..

And X-factor HQ just told me it’s too early to know if they are going to replace the judge with another big name and whether there will still be four groups in the format. Louis Walsh is apparently staying despite the loss of his bosom buddy!

Whatever the news – I’m loving the gossip! Bitchy and fun! Long may it continue!

PS. Initial meetings and filming was due to start from this Thursday coming!!!!! Talk about being left in the lurch!

Stunning Natalie Imbruglia hosted the launch party for Martini Rosato at the Kensington Roof Gardens this week and the delectable Lottie Lumsden from the Closer offices went down to chat to the stars for me.

Natalie told her: “I’m busy working on my new album at the moment, it’s going to be edgier and pretty different to my old stuff. I hope it’ll be out later this year. I’ve also been doing a bit of acting and have been working on a short film. I can’t wait for the summer I’m planning on going to every festival that the Kings of Leon play at because I love them!”

So she’s still up for bagging a rock star after splitting from Silverchair singer Daniel Johns then!

Lottie also spied Nat swapping number’s with my favourite singer of the moment Estelle – pictured here with stunning soul diva Mica Paris.

Estelle is reveling in the success of American Boy and sported train tracks on her teeth. She’s in a bid to conquer America right now – and the last thing they like is crooked teeth! Estelle told me recently her US ‘people’ tried to persuade her to get her teeth whitened too – but she refused. She obviously caved in on the crooked situation…..

Also at the launch party was supermodel Lily Cole who stayed for about two minutes, Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Mica Paris, actors Nick Moran and Hugh Bonneville, Portia Freeman, model Ben Grimes and Sadie’s ex Jackson Scott.

The lovely Sophie Ellis Bextor lip-sync’d for the punters at the bash with a few fabulous hits and everyone left full of Martini cocktails. Hoorah!

Hilariously the PRs from the event sent me a quote from Natalie herself about Martini Rosato. It reads…..Natalie said, “Being half Italian, I’m honored to work with such a stylish and iconic brand with a strong Italian heritage behind it, and to have hosted such a successful party for Martini Rosato. This new rosé style Martini is just gorgeous and I love sharing it in a pitcher with my girlfriends – much more interesting than a bottle of wine! I also love the fact that Martini is lower in alcohol than wine meaning you look as good at the end of the night as you did at the beginning!”

Now, I don’t mean to be cynical but do you think Natalie got paid for turning up? Ummmm, yes! Ahhhh, the fickle world of celebrity.

How sad. Michelle Heaton and Andy Scott Lee have called time on their marriage of less than two years. The pair got hitched in October 2006 but have parted ways over the past few days. Michelle’s agent confirmed: “Michelle and Andy have sadly split.”

Having known the pair for years it’s sad to write this. Details of what went wrong are yet to come out! No doubt the Sunday papers are going to have a field day! Eeeek.

So Kate Moss has been dropped as the face of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur. And the hunt for a new face looked as if it was going to punky model Alice Dellal.

But I can reveal the new face isn’t just Alice – it’s a number of people including Peaches Geldof and Daisy Lowe too. A source tells me: “Kate was too old and just not sexy and youthful enough anymore. Kate’s a great name – don’t get me wrong – but Peaches and the girls are absolutely amazing, fresh and new. they are also naughty and cheeky just like the brand. So they were an easy choice for the people behind the scenes.”

Congratulations to Peaches – it’s her first big signing since her big alleged drugs scandal a couple of months ago. I always said Peaches would be a fashion icon of the future – and it looks as if she’s well on her way to getting there!

The Glamour Awards – sponsored by Aussie Hair Care Products -are always an excuse to dress up and mingle with the biggest celebrities in the showbiz world. So I ignored by overpowering jet lag and got tarted up for the event and headed to Berkeley Square for the bash.

The first celeb I bumped into was footballer Rio Ferdinand – I had to wonder why he was there. I wouldn’t have assumed he epitomises Glamour in any way! I quickly overheard that he was actually not invited at all – he was a guest of Gavin and Stacey star James Corden. Phew – there I was thinking the magazine had slipped up on the guest list!

I bumped into the wonderful Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page – who picked up an award for Comedy Actress of the Year. She’s bonkers in a fantastic way and we spoke about our Jack Russell dogs and how they should be set up on a date – the only problem is they are both girls….but Joanna quipped: “I’ve always thought my Daisy was a lesbian anyway so it could work!”

Dannii Minogue wore a gorgeous beaded J’Anton Couture dress but looked exhausted when I saw her. She heaved up her train of the outfit and said ‘feel this’. It weighted a tonne. Dannii tells me she’s excited about starting back with the X-Factor but she has to finish her commitments to Australia’s Got Talent first. Dannii said: “I’m doing the first few days of X-Factor, going off to Australia and then four days later I fly back!

“It will be knackering but it’s going to be a blast to be back on the show. I’m glad Sharon’s coming back – on my part I have nothing to put behind me though so I hope everything’s fine when we start filming. I have nothing against her and I’ve always said that. I’m looking forward to finding some huge talent this year.”

The real talking point of the night was shared between a very drunken pink haired Lily Allen – who was apparently was so out of it she was carried over a fence by boduguards to leave the Square after the awards – and the Spice Girls. Well three of them anyway….

Mel B, who slurped on copious amounts of Laurent Perrier throughout the awards, was there with her hubby Stephen Belafonte. It was interesting to meet him in real life. I’m not sure about that one…..

Mel was charming and loud as ever – and spoke about being busy with her Ultimo lingerie launch. Mel said: “I’m jet lagged as hell and only got in this afternoon from LA.” I know how she felt!

Emma Bunton looked great with her new bob haircut. It really suits her – and I laughed when we did a picture together because she swapped sides with me so that her left side was in picture. She beamed: “Just call me Mariah – my left side is my best side!” She also said the hair chop was a last minute decision and that she was enjoying not having to work so hard on it every morning since becoming a mummy to baby Beau! Emma and boy toy Jade Jones were together making a rare public appearance at the bash and they looked so cute together – I wish they’d get hitched!

Geri Halliwell played the diva – leaving the other girls early to avoid the party. She seems a little dull and apparently on the red carpet whereas the other ladies spoke about their love and affection for the Spice tour Geri just droned on about her own ventures – and that blooming children’s book she’s released. Boring, boring!

Kelly Osbourne was on fine form after winning a gong for the Theatre Actress of the Year. Kelly told me her romance with Burberry model Luke Worrell. She’s just returned form a romantic New York trip with him. She even said this one could be ‘the one’! Good for her!

Hollywood was represented by Kate Beckinsale – who miraculously won Best Actress of the Year despite being known for being wooden as a spoon when in character. Erm, there I was thinking she’s only famous nowadays for clinging to Posh for dear life! Publicity whore alert!

And Heroe’s star Hayden Pannettiere also turned out. Earlier in the day Hayden had been on the same Virgin flight as me from LA!

Other big names at the event included Tess Daly, Mark Ronson, Annie Lennox, Fearne Cotton, Beth Ditto, Jonathan Ross and Jane Goldman, Erin O’Connor, Jo Whiley, Beth Ditto, Tamara Mellon and Estelle.
