There were lots of weird stories in the papers this weekend. Here’s my thoughts!

First of all – Kylie Minogue has got back together with her French ex boyfriend Olivier Martinez. Well, good for her I guess. He was rumoured to have cheated on her throughout their last union together. Let’s hope he can keep his “La Saucisse” in his pants this time around.
Hilariously the papers and mags are already jumping to conclusions that the pair “are trying for a baby”. Writing about Kylie and her supposed battle for a baby became so utterly laborious last time around. I just hope we let them get on with it this time around. Good on you Kylie – and after a couple of shitty years I hope things are on the up for you.

I was less shocked to read about “The Real Jordan” after the former glamour girl was exposed as a bad mum and everything else by her former nanny. I used to know Jordie and she was always funny – but I always knew she could be the biggest pain in the backside! So I loved reading the sacked nanny Becky Gauld’s real story behind the pair’s marriage. We all knew they weren’t getting on, that she struggled as a mother and that she continually bickers with Peter Andre. And now we know what has been going on behind closed doors too! The story certainly made coffee time more exciting on Sunday morning.

I’m absolutely loving reading all the various rumours about why the Spice Girls have called time on their world reunion tour. So far Victoria, the two Mel’s, the Beckham kids and even Emma Bunton have come under scrutiny from the media. Closer Magazine reveals the truth about what’s actually been going on tomorrow in our new issue. Let’s just say – she botched it last time around and she’s gone and done it again according to our Spice mole on the road with the girls!

THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO: Bafta Film Awards on Sunday, the Brits on Feb 20th (televised live on ITV1 at 8pm), the Elle Style Awards next Tuesday and of course…..Fashion Week!

It’s fairly usual for a kiddie on a plane to be able to visit the cockpit on a flight from time to time. But when your name is Pheonix Chi Brown, Spice Girl Mel B’s daughter, you get to do an entire announcement to passengers on the plane! My mole on Mel B’s flight reveals: “Pheonix did an announcement that would have usual been made by the air hostesses! Everyone realised it was the Spice Girl daughter and they clapped her and everything.” Sweeeeet.

I hear the touring equipment left the airport on 25 trucks – causing absolute traffic chaos for anybody near the airport. And Mel B and the crew travelling with her on the flight had no less than 76 bags which took a lot of organising baggage claim. They don’t travel light do they!

It’s a sad day. As we speak Poppy Delevingne is packing her bags. Well actually she’s returning from a shoot in Paris where she described herself as looking like a “drag queen” in her latest cover shoot.

She leaves for New York tomorrow where she’ll study acting and become an overnight sensation in NY!

I’m going to lay my cards on the table. She’s going to be a star. She’s a divine treat among a showbiz world full of such bullshit. Sienna and Keira don’t stand a chance against this English rose. She’s already starred in her first short film with Stardust star Charlie Cox.

So people, hear this. Learn how to spell her surname now (yes, it’s tricky). She’ll be well on her way to becoming our brightest actress by the beginning of 2009. Look out for her.

In the old days Caprice would grace men’s mag covers, wore skimpy outfits galore and was famed for her party lifestyle. But thankfully all that’s changed nowadays and she’s a strong minded businesswoman, the closest she’s ever been to marrying and even contemplating kids. How times have changed…..

Hi Caprice, You are currently releasing another new range of your By Caprice lingerie – what’s the differences between you and say Elle Macpherson, who also has a range?
The difference between ‘Elle McPherson Intimates’ and ‘By Caprice’ is that they have a license deal and I don’t. She worked with a company to produce her range and I’ve gone on my own and put all my money into ‘By Caprice’ and I sell it by myself.

How much involvement do you actually have?
I’m involved in every single decision. Everything. If you invest your money into a business every single day it becomes a totally different putting your ‘face’ to a range.

Lingerie models have got a little curvier of late across the board – is this a good thing?
Thank God! I just think it’s realistic and it’s healthier. I think it’s disgusting to see a girl that’s size zero, even size two, walking the catwalk. I think it’s disgustingly unhealthy. I’ve always had curves and I don’t even think my body would go that thin.

How conscious are you about your weight?
I’m super conscious. I’m constantly watching what I eat and I’m exercising a lot now. I think as I’ve gotten older my metabolism has slowed a little and I really have to pay extra attention to what I eat and I have to work out more.

How often do you work out?
I do a lot of the cross-trainer, I do spinning class, I do a lot of weights so I tone a little bit and I like to run in the park. I do a lot of riding too – I ride my bike about everywhere. So it varies because I get bored with the monotony of it, I can’t stand exercising, in fact I hate it.

Do you have a trainer?
I don’t really need anyone to inspire me to get going it’s just when I see that extra bit of fat kind of sneaking on the hips and the butt, you know, that’s inspiration enough for me. I think when I started the whole modelling thing is when I started to become incredibly vain and incredibly conscious of everything aesthetically and working out was a part of that.

How do you keep your tummy so flat?
That is my mum! I have put weight on before and weight goes to my butt and my hips! I’m constantly dieting too!

You are settled with Elle’s ex John Hitchcox – do you feel settled?
You know what it’s my most serious relationship ever. I really love it. It makes every else in my life more solid. We’ve been together for a year and half now.

Are we going to see a wedding one day?
Gosh, I’ll have babies but I don’t know about a wedding. Or if marriage is for me!

Would you say you’re broody?
I’m not broody yet but one day I do want kids!

Are you age conscious?
No, not yet. Maybe in the future I will be.

Newspapers constantly speculate about botox and surgery with you – your thoughts?
Do they? I didn’t know that.

Would you consider botox?
Let me tell you when things go haywire I will definitely consider the works. I will be the first one to say yes. But not now.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?
I want to have one of the biggest lingerie companies in the world, kids and a man that I can grow old with!

Matt Willis has come a long way since his days in Busted! And Emma Griffiths is hot on the heels of Holly, Tess and Cat nowadays too!

The couple are hosting the red carpet action at this year’s Orange BAFTA awards on February 10 alongside American Idol host Ryan Seacrest live on E! Entertainment Television.

I hooked up with lovely Matt and Ems last week. They’ve been dating for three years now and get actually get married in the summer. I asked them who they would be ‘allowed to cheat with’ if they could sleep with one celebrity. Matt’s was easy – Michelle Pfeiffer. And Emma said Brad Pitt. Well Matt had better keep an eye on Emma – Brad could well fly in for the BAFTA event with Angelina! Eeeeek.

I always thought that Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole was a fairly good egg with a sensible head on her shoulders. Having met her tonnes of times before I know she doesn’t beat around the bush so I never expected her to be such a complete loser over the weekend and take Ashley back into her life. But she has.

Last week Ashley was exposed as a love cheat when blonde hairdresser Aimee Walton sold her story saying Ashley had slept with her after a drunken night out and that he had an average todger and a bad case of manners (he puked half way through their sex and then climbed back on top for another shot – classy).

So the story appears and now Cheryl – who was once quoted as saying Ashley “wouldn’t dare” cheat – has taken Ashley back and they are giving it another go.

For a girl from the north with such a strong personality I expected more. She’s a disappointment. She’s continually been compared to Posh – and just like the Spice Girl she’s not got the balls to kick a guy to the kerb when they allegedly cheat. Let’s hope she sees the light over this week!

Here’s some good news – Amy Winehouse has finally checked herself into rehab within the last few hours. Read the statement below that just dropped from her PR firm minutes ago…..
I give it until the weekend before she’s out walking around. I hope gets clean this time.

Amy Winehouse’s planned appearance at the NRJ Awards in France on Saturday has been cancelled as the artist has entered a rehabilitation clinic.

Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors.  She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards. She is nominated in an incredible 6 categories.

Amy entered the facility by mutual agreement and continues to receive the full support of all concerned.

Amy is the most talented and important musical artist of her generation and has made huge strides on her road to recovery.  Universal Music Group wants nothing more than to see her take the time she needs to come back to full health and fulfil her incredible potential with the label.

The label has always had the best interests of Amy at heart and has been guided by her family and doctors in the last few months as to the best direction to take.

All concerned feel that Amy must put her health before all other considerations and will be by her side whenever and wherever they are needed.
UPDATE: Just to let you know. I’m wearing a slogan t-shirt today that reads: “I’m back like cooked crack”. How very appropriate.

The reason I think I was so sad and shocked by the surprise death of Heath Ledger is quite simple. I was prepared for two other stars to be dead before him.
You could say the entire showbiz world has been on ‘stand by’ for the past few weeks for the death of either Britney Spears or Amy Winehouse from a drugs overdose.
And then out of the blue came the news that Heath had been found dead in bed with a bottle of pills next to his bed.
Of course it’s extremely sad, especially considering the fact he leaves behind a two-year-old daughter with former partner Michelle Williams, but isn’t it sad that one of the reason’s the showbiz world is stunned is because we were prepared for another death in celebrityville?

Seven years ago when I started working at the Daily Mirror on 3am I was always shocked that they had obituaries written for celebrities in case of an untimely death. Back then Michael Jackson, the Queen Mother and Elizabeth Taylor had obits “ready to go” at a minutes notice. People would update their obits as stories broke week by week so in the event of them passing the papers could be up to the minute. And nowadays, with the internet as it is, obits are probably even more up to date and written to [perfection than ever before.

I ask you this. In this day and age how many other stars could have died just like Heath. There are dozens. How many can you think of? Unfortunately booze, drugs and pills are all to common and part of celebrity culture. And Heath’s death has only highlighted this point.
